Kota Kinabalu: Some 32,186 children aged between five and 11 plus have registered through the MySejahtera application for Covid-19 immunisation as at Feb 13 in Sabah.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, however, said this number is still low as it represents less than 10 per cent of the 411,400 eligible children in the state.

"The number that has registered so far is still low. I advise parents and guardians with children aged between five and below 12 to take the opportunity to register them for vaccination under PICKids," he said, referring to the Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children.

As of Feb 14, 9,686 or about seven per cent of registered children have received their first dose since PICKids started in Sabah on Feb 3, said Hajiji at the launching of the state-level PICKids at the Women and Children's Hospital in Likas, near here, on Tuesday.
