Heung-min Son was delighted to make history with Tottenham at Leeds United.
Son and Harry Kane made history by becoming the most productive pairing in Premier League history during Tottenham 's emphatic 4-0 win over Leeds.
Son's late strike was the 37th time he and Kane have combined to net for Tottenham - the most of any pairing in Premier League history.
"It is a big honour," Son told BT Sport. "The record is important but the three points are too because the result in midweek was not the best. We take the record but most important thing is three points.
"It is always a tough place to come here and we needed to show character and responsibility. Every player was fantastic today. We can't just be happy with today, there are more games to come."
And Kane was full of praise for his strike partner when he was also quizzed on the record after the match.
Tottenham's talisman added: "We've been playing with each other for a long, long time and we understand each others games well. When I drop deep Sonny knows where to run and we enjoy playing together."
