When Two UMNO Leaders Visited PM Muhyiddin For Help With Court Cases, Controversy Erupted

Muhyiddin in a video that went viral recently, told a gathering (in Johor) that soon after he became Prime Minister, Zahid brought a stack of files requesting him to help the latter with outstanding court cases.

Muhyiddin said he advised Zahid to go to court to defend himself since the latter claimed he was not guilty.

Najib, according to Muhyiddin, did likewise; soon after requesting the latter to intervene on his behalf.

When Muhyiddin refused, controversy developed and resulted in instability of his government that eventually drove him out of office.

Do you believe the story?

If you did then you are in the majority who felt the two leaders of UMNO would go to great lengths to save their skin. They would do whatever it takes to stay out of jail.

Besides, this was the second time we heard the story. The first was when Muhyiddin was about to leave office but he did not name the two individuals.

But if you didn’t then you must be a UMNO die hard.

Imagine when we showed the video clip to a staunch supporter of “Tok Najib” or “Bossku” who went ballistic, accusing Muhyiddin of spinning a story to get support for BERSATU in the forthcoming Johor polls.

Imagine how he went on for the next 5 minutes telling us one story after another about all sins he claimed Muhyiddin committed from the day he became a politician until he resigned as PM after UMNO withdrew its support. That was a very long 5 minutes for us.

We had read on social media similar stories including a purported affair of Muhyiddin, his land deals and various tales told about the “back door” government.

Why then did UMNO withdraw its support for Muhyiddin’s government?

“Well, because Muhyiddin refused to agree to UMNO’s demands on various policies” replied the supporter.

Did that include helping your president and Bossku!

Imagine his response, “It’s understood. Muhyiddin was PM because we supported him. It’s only fair for him to return the favour!”

Can you imagine such a die-hard UMNO supporter who was strongly or fanatically determined or so devoted to his leaders that he would go to great lengths to defend them?

It only shows how UMNO members had been thoroughly brainwashed by the party to accept untruths and defend UMNO against all odds.

This was party loyalty at its best and so well exemplified. It was unimaginable for us to have to watch a Najib-Zahid worshipper trying his best to defend them in front of us.

I never imagined I would meet a UMNO supporter who was ready to fight so hard to defend his party and his leaders.

No matter how wrong his leaders were he was not willing to back down even when we offered him the real truth.

In return, he attacked us instead for taking a stand against the world-renowned kleptocrats.

He was upset because we were rather sceptical about the two men for whom he was willing to die on the very coffee table in front of us.

When he calmed down we told him we believed what Muhyiddin said in the video clip as the truth.

We quoted a lawyer who said, if what Muhyiddin told in the clip was not true, Najib and Zahid should initiate defamation suits because if they did not the allegation by Muhyiddin would be deemed as the truth.

Until that happened and the matter was settled in court, we would continue to believe in what Muhyiddin said about them as the truth.

We also reminded him that Najib did issue a letter demanding Muhyiddin to retract the statement made by the latter about a leader who came asking him to interfere in court matters. Yes, Muhyiddin replied but he never named anyone. He said Najib named himself in that letter of demand.

We told him that what Mahathir expected turned out to be true that the court clusters would only support Muhyiddin to avoid jail time.

We told him we believed until proven otherwise, that Zahid manoeuvred the downfall of Muhyiddin when the latter refused to help him. The grapevine is full of such speculations.

Finally, we told him, we believed it was UMNO that engineered the dissolution of state assemblies in Melaka and Johor to get even with Muhyiddin and BERSATU and to pave the way for them to retake the federal government.

Imagine the smile on his face when he replied, “You are right that’s when we nominate Tok Najib as our candidate for PM in GE 15!”

Then with a shrug of his shoulders, he walked away from our table.

For now, let’s hope this controversy is settled soon because the public wants a definitive answer.

Until then pray for Divine intervention to help save Malaysia.
