Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has claimed that he had no choice but to leave the club.

Ndombele is Spurs' record signing, arriving from Lyon in the summer of 2019 under Mauricio Pochettino.

Several managers later, he has failed to live up to expectations, and is now on loan at Lyon until the end of the season.

"I had 5 different managers at Tottenham. I needed something else," he said, as reported by Get French Football News.

Ndombele was referencing the fact that he was managed by Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Ryan Mason as interim, Nuno Espirito Santo, and finally Antonio Conte.
