Juventus striker Paulo Dybala has paid tribute to Maurizio Zamparini after his passing.

The former Palermo and Venezia president passed away on Monday evening at the age of 80.

Zamparini signed Dybala for Palermo and the Argentine stated: “You were the first to believe in me.

“I arrived in Italy as a child and your family welcomed me as if it was my home. President, you opened the doors to a beautiful city where I met wonderful people and still have great friends.

“You gave me the opportunity to continue my career where I wanted, always with the maximum respect and always thinking of what was best for me.

“For this and many other things I will always be grateful and I will never forget you, President. Thank you, for everything. Your Picciriddu."
