Galatasaray coach Domenec Torrent was delighted with their draw at Europa League opponents Barcelona.
Gala left Spain with a 0-0 draw from the first-leg of their round 16 tie.
Former Barca assistant coach Torrent said: "Xavi is my friend. I told him after the game that we're looking forward to hosting them in İstanbul. Tonight we were physically strong; we are improving as a team."
Gala's former Barca goalkeeper Inaki Pena also said: “We were very good as a team.
"Tonight our goal was to carry our chances into the return leg. We will see what happens in İstanbul. The Barcelona supporters applauded me before the game and that was a great moment for me. I would like to thank them."
