Uruguay legend Diego Forlan has criticised the Glazer family for Manchester United's current decline.

The Red Devils have not won a trophy for five years, and have not won the Premier League or Champions League since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

United's last trophy was the 2016/2017 Europa League, which is the season when they also won the League Cup.

Speaking to El Pais, ex-United and Atlético Madrid forward Forlan said: "I'm speaking from the outside, but with the change of ownership, the objectives seem to be different."

There have been countless protests against the Glazer ownership at United, even when they were winning trophies under Sir Alex.
