Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia’s Special Envoy to BIMP-EAGA Tan Sri Pandikar Amin called on the Federal government to allow Sabah to borrow money from abroad if needed funds are not available to build and connect roads to Kalimantan, particularly the road connecting Kalabakan’s Serudong in Sabah and Indonesia’s Simanggaris.

Pandikar: “If assuming the Federal government cannot afford to give us the allocations to do this infrastructure, then let the Sabahan government raises its own funds from outside, because, I think, financial institutions abroad where ever will finance any infrastructure projects to be done in Sabah in the view of new development of Indonesia relocating its capital to Kalimantan.”
