Tahfiz student killed after vehicle rams into tree

TASEK GELUGOR – A tahfiz student lost her life while four others were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded and hit a tree in an accident at Jalan Guar Petai here this morning.

The 17-year-old student, who was also the front passenger, died at the scene.

Three individuals were reported seriously injured, while the driver suffered minor injuries.

The incident was reported to have occurred at about 8am when the Toyota Avanza they were in was being driven by a man taking his two sisters and two cousins ​​home for school holidays from a madrasah.

A team rushed to the location and found five victims in the Toyota Avanza.

One victim was reportedly trapped in the back. Firefighters had to use special equipment to extricate the person.

Those injured were sent to Kepala Batas Hospital and Seberang Jaya Hospital for further treatment, while the deceased’s body was handed over to police for further action.
