Police nab foreign man and woman, seized RM400K syabu

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Police Contingent's Criminal Narcotic Investigation Department arrested a foreign man and a woman believed to be involved in drug-related activities and seized a total of 10.06kg of syabu worth RM400,000.

According to the department's head, ACP Lam Thiam Huat, the 29-year-old man was arrested at Cybercity here while the woman, 28, in Tenom.

The drugs were seized in three separate locations: from the man, at the Suria Shop Apartment in Penampang and Tenom Post Office.

"The seized drugs can cater to about 50,000 drug addicts, and the case will be investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which on conviction, can lead to the mandatory death penalty," he said at a press conference today.
