Manchester United interim coach Ralf Rangnick hopes the international break allows his players to get over the frustration of their exit from Champions League.

The Red Devils suffered a 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford, which meant a 2-1 aggregate defeat.

Rangnick's side, sitting one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who possess three games in hand, will not play again until meeting Leicester City on April 2.

"Well, I would say, on one hand, I think it's not so bad that the players are on international duty," Rangnick said.

"Maybe it can help them to overcome the frustration they feel right now. And then we'll see each other in one-and-a-half weeks with those players not on international duty in for a normal week and hopefully training, most of them, in preparation for the Leicester game."
