As a kid, I’m sure we’ve all wished to stay overnight at a mall and just grab everything we want from the place, including snacks, toys, books, drinks, and more.

Well, these customers in China got to experience something slightly similar to our childhood dream except for the fact that they’re stuck in a hot spot restaurant for three days due to an unexpected COVID-19 situation.

According to Mashable SEA, these customers were stuck in the hot spot restaurant because the authorities told them that they had dined with a COVID-19 patient in the same restaurant. And China being China, these customers were all forced to be isolated temporarily in the shop due to their strict rules and regulations to deal with close-contact citizens.

Luckily for them, the restaurant has graciously offered free hot pot to all the trapped customers and even went out of their way to prepare suppers and brunches for their isolated customers!

Ms Wang, one of the customers who were trapped in the hot spot restaurant, shared her bitter-sweet experience about how she and the others dealt with this sudden blockade order of being stuck at the restaurant.

“Although this is an unexpected situation that no one wants, the experience this time is quite comfortable and enjoyable,” Wang said.

However, she also said that she “really can’t eat hot pot anymore.” after eating it for three days straight.

This incident has then gone viral on Weibo. A few netizens have also shared their unexpected isolation experiences due to the “Zero-COVID-19” policy implemented by the President of China, Xi Jinping, as “too much.”

What do you think? Would it be a blessing or a nightmare if it was you who were stuck in a hot spot restaurant for three days with a free flow of food? Let us know in the comment below.
