LIAWAN Assemblyman Datuk Annuar Ayub said it was timely for the State Government to consider all options available to enrich the state’s water resources to drive industrial, commercial and domestic activities in line with the aspirations of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ).
He said Sabah was very fortunate because there were many water catchment areas in the highlands that could be utilised for its quality natural water supply, taking the example of the potential water supply from Padas River which exceeded 6,000 million litres a day that could meet the needs of 30 million people.
