Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says the instant impact of Luis Diaz was unexpected.
Diaz has been a revelation since his January arrival from Porto.
Klopp told Sky Sports: "You do not expect miracles directly from this type of player. But he is not far from doing just that. Hope it continues for so long. There is a reason why you are recruiting a player. The reason is the quality he has. The reason is how he plays.
"But with Díaz, as with so many of Liverpool's signings, there was a logic in targeting him beyond his ability - those (responsible) thought he would adapt.
"The special thing about Luis is that when we saw him, we knew immediately that he would fit in. It's very difficult usually but he did not have to change, that's why we have a very confident guy here."
