Real Madrid chiefs have identified Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham as a potential future addition.

Real are seeking a new midfield general with Luka Modric a season-to-season proposition and AS says Bellingham has been identified as a potential solution.

The England international is being lined up for a 2023 move to Spain when Modric is expected to eventually depart. The Croatian will turn 37 next season and Real Madrid are happy for him to continue in order to prepare for the World Cup before he eventually leaves next summer.

Bellingham, who turns 19 in June, would be allowed to play another year in Germany before joining Real Madrid as a direct replacement for Modric.

The youngster is in his second season with BVB after joining from Birmingham City for €25m.
