Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's daily Covid-19 caseload shot up again to 2,717 today with the state's sporadic infection rate also going up, according to spokesman for the crisis Datuk Masidi Manjun.
"Daily Covid cases shot up to 2,717 (+481)," Masidi announced on Twitter.
"The sharp rise is partly due to huge backlogs; 556 of KK’s 1350 cases are 10 days [old] and above.
"KK 1350, Penampang 184, Tuaran 131, Papar 120, K’gau 113 & B’fort 108."
The percentage of sporadic infections was 71.18, said Masidi, adding 99 percent of the new cases were asymptomatic or light infections.
