
Kota Kinabalu: A dolphin was found beached in Kuala Penyu before it was rescued and released back to the sea today, said the Fire and Rescue Department.
The department received an alert at 8.18am about the discovery at the Camp KP beach in Kg Tidong before sending a team.
The firemen and villagers later loaded the dolphin onto a boat owned by a member of the public before the mammal was taken back to the sea and released.
The rescue operation ended at 9.57am, said the department in an update.
