Watford forward Cucho Hernandez hopes he has done enough to justify selection for their next Premier League game.

The Colombian got his sixth league start this season, impressing against Arsenal in a 3-2 defeat.

He put in an eye-catching display, and despite his team's loss, Hernandez hopes he showed manager Roy Hodgson his value.

"I think we were very close to getting a draw so there's a little bit of disappointment, but of course if I speak about my performance, I'm quite happy because I don't play as much," Hernandez told the club website.

"Today I played and I scored a fantastic goal, but it was a shame we couldn't come away with more.

"It's difficult when you don't play as much, but when you have the opportunity you have to go and take your chance."
