Kota Kinabalu: While members of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) support the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and Local government in the formulation of the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA), they want the government to heed their views on the practicality of the law that affects them, landlords and tenants.

The Federal Government sought feedback for the proposed enactment of the Residential Tenancy Act through a one-month public consultation undertaken by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government which began on Jan 28 and ended on Feb 28, 2022.
