TUARAN: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (pic) has no qualms with Umno Sabah chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin’s proposal for the present state administration to be known as Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-Barisan Nasional (GRS-BN) State Government.

“In fact, this is (agreed upon) before the last State Election that the GRS pact will include BN even though it (BN) is another alliance and cannot be in GRS,” he said who is GRS pro tem chairman after a working visit to Tamparuli, here, Sunday.

“But in the State Government, it is different, it is an alliance between GRS and BN.

“So from today onwards, we will call it the GRS-BN State Government.”

Bung who is also a Deputy Chief Minister made the call after GRS was officially registered as a political coalition that comprised Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star), Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

Before its registration, GRS comprised Perikatan Nasional, BN and PBS.

The BN components are Umno, MCA, MIC and PBRS.

Although BN is not part of the officially registered GRS, Bung had said they were nonetheless supportive of the GRS government as well as part of the political pact that won the last State elections.

Bung was previously reported as saying that it would not be fair if BN was not mentioned as part of the State Government.
