Real Mallorca have sacked coach Luis Garcia Plaza.
Mallorca announced the decision on Tuesday evening after their seventh straight defeat to Espanyol on Sunday.
The result leaves Mallorca in the relegation zone for the first time this season.
"Luis García Plaza stops coaching RCD Mallorca. The club wishes him the best of luck and thanks him for all the work done to this day," announced the Balearic club in a statement.
“He was the coach of promotion to the First Division last season, achieving 82 points, a record figure in the club's history."
Garcia Plaza had a contract with Mallorca to June 2023.
