New cases in Sabah drop below 200 mark today

KOTA KINABALU: On Monday, Sabah recorded a number of new infections below the 200 mark for the first time since Jan 24, this year, which is 194 cases, 51 cases lesser than yesterday.

Five districts recorded double-digit new cases, namely Kota Kinabalu with 55 cases, Tuaran (26), Papar (18), Sandakan (11) and Tawau (10). A total of 18 districts recorded single-digit new cases. Semporna, Nabawan, Tongod and Kalabakan districts did not record any new infections today.

A total of 187 patients or 96.39 of the total new cases today are in Category 1 and 2. There are three cases in Category 3, three cases in Category 4 and a case in Category 5.

Three clusters were declared ended by the State Health Department today – Pengkalan Abai Cluster (Kota Belud), Jalan Beluran Lama Cluster (Beluran) and Batu Enam Cluster (Kota Belud). Only four clusters remain active in Sabah.
