KOTA KINABALU: Fed-up with Sabah DAP's "infighting and loss of direction", two state representatives formerly with the party have switched camps to Warisan.
Justin Wong, who is Sri Tanjong assemblyman, along with his Elopura counterpart Calvin Chong, were both seen at a press conference held by Warisan President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal today.
Citing irreconcilable differences with Sabah DAP, Justin said he along with other colleagues had lost faith in the party especially because it reportedly would render support to Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor.
“I didn’t leave DAP due to personal interest, but the loss of direction and serious infighting within the party have caused me to believe that it is not in the best interest to continue with the party which required me to become a 'yes man',” said Justin.
Furthermore, Justin said his decision to join Warisan had received strong support from his constituents.
