Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is considering mandating foreigners to be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19 before entering the state, spokesman for the crisis Datuk Masidi Manjun was reported as saying today.

He said Sabah's protocols for this will be devised after the SOPs for national border reopening are issued.

Masidi reiterated that Sabah's own SOPs are needed because the state stands to receive many visitors from the Philippines and Indonesia, where vaccination rates are still low.

"This is why we mandate fully vaccinated and boosted status for foreign visitors," he reportedly said at an immunisation event here today.
