Villarreal defender Pau Torres admits they surprised themselves with victory at Juventus.
The 3-0 win sees Villarreal reach the Champions League quarterfinals 4-1 on aggregate.
Torres later said, "That's the script – we wanted to make it a long game for them.
"We had a number of important lads on the bench and Gerard changed the side completely when he came on because he's a top player.
"Not even in our best planning sessions for the game did we think we'd win with that scoreline. We knew they'd have chances. Rulli was great and we were a little lucky, but you need that."
