Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard knows they must be at their best today against Arsenal.

Villa meet the Gunners in the early kickoff.

Gerrard said, “Every game is very different. The game we lost against West Ham, we had to be better in the final third. We take a lot of our play from building up and creating in the middle of the pitch, and we took a lot of positives from the game with the things we did.

“I thought our reaction to going a couple of goals down was very good, we created a couple of chances after that, but we've conceded a couple of sloppy goals. The takeaway was that we can't give the ball away in silly areas and we need to defend our box better.

Arsenal are in great form since September and I think Mikel Arteta's done a fantastic job. He's really found that consistency that Arsenal have been looking for for a long time.

“Credit to him for that. This game will be different tactically to West Ham. We need to try and find the solutions and a game plan ready for this fixture.

“I'm not sure it'll look too similar to West Ham because we're talking about two different styles and two different teams."
