River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo chastised a local journalist after being asked about Lionel Messi being jeered by PSG fans yesterday.
Former Barcelona stars Messi and Neymar were booed before victory over Bordeaux, with PSG fans angry after their Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
Asked for a reaction, Gallardo replied: "What I least expected was that you would ask me that.
"In football, nothing attracts attention.
"We (Argentina) mistreated Messi a lot too. Let's not play patriots either. Before he resigned from the National Team. Thank God he repented and came back remember? Let's remember that too."
