Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah United Fisheries and Fishing Boat Association regrets the imposition of sales tax on seafood products “in the tax deferment period” between May 2021 and June 2022.
Its President Arsani Arsat said many players in the industry were under the impression that the five to 10 per cent State Sales Tax (SST) on seafood exports would not be imposed during the deferment period.
