Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has been asked about the possibility of signing Antonio Rudiger in the summer.
The Chelsea and Germany defender is out of contract, and has been linked to a host of clubs around Europe.
The most recent team being linked to his signature is Newcastle, and their manager spoke about the matter during a press conference.
Howe said: "I don't think it is the time to start commenting about other teams or other players.
"I have not given recruitment or squad planning one ounce of my energy because we are focused on the games."
