Kota Kinabalu: Kadamaian Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick believes the registration of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) as a political entity would be more meaningful if it involves Sabah political parties.

“Otherwise, it would simply be a case of rebranding of old politics in Sabah if it still involves peninsula political parties such as Bersatu, Umno, PAS, MCA and others.

“As long as this coalition is led by a president representing a peninsula political party, as well as the top leadership is influenced by policies imported from abroad, this will not give any advantage or mean anything to the hopes and political aspirations of the people of Sabah,” he said.
