INANAM: A 19-year-old salesperson suffered injuries after jumping out of a moving car after an e-hailing driver allegedly molested and robbed her near Jalan Kionsom, here, Thursday.
Kota Kinabalu deputy OCPD Supt George Rakman said the woman had gotten into the car to travel to work in Manggatal.
George said the driver was said to have groped the woman’s thighs before he allegedly took out a small knife and asked her to hand over her money.
The woman then jumped out of the moving car and fled on foot.
George said the police are still hunting the suspect and those with information are urged to contact investigating officer Inspector Riduan Abd Majidat at 010-514 4059, or the nearest police station.
The incident was earlier made known and went viral on social media.
