Manchester United must convince Mauricio Pochettino that he is their first choice manager.
The Argentine is likely to lose his job at Paris Saint-Germain, perhaps even before the end of the season, as they crashed out of the Champions League in the round of 16 against Real Madrid this week.
However, the Daily Mail suggests that Pochettino would only be keen to take the United job if he is first choice for their board.
Other candidates for the job include Erik ten Hag, Carlo Ancelotti, Brendan Rodgers, and Luis Enrique.
Pochettino may want to ensure he does not ignore any other job opportunities by waiting for the United job to open up at the end of the season.
