Former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil admits he was blindsided by Fenerbahce's decision to freeze him out.
It was announced last week by Fener that Ozil had been suspended from the club after a bust-up with coaching staff.
However, Ozil insists no-one from Fener informed him of the decision.
He told PlaySpor: "I didn't know about that decision.
"I was in Germany on my days off. When I was on my way back, I called for practice times. Then I was told I didn't have to come any more."
