Former Leeds fullback Danny Mills hopes new manager Jesse Marsch adds three youngsters to the senior squad.

Speaking to Football Insider, Mills said the American head coach should pay particularly close attention to the development of Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Cresswell and Crysencio Summerville.

He said: "All players should be worried. When you get a new manager coming in, you can't not be worried. You've got to understand that he's a new manager with slightly new ideas.

"He's also said there will be slightly more squad rotation and not be afraid to throw the youngsters in. Maybe there is going to be a bit more competition for places and that can only be a good thing.

"Gelhardt might come into it a bit more, Summerville and Cresswell both come into reckoning off the back of that and could explode.

"Suddenly, everybody thinks 'Oh, if I want to play, I've got to play a bit better'. The owners will be hoping that comes to fruition."
