MBSA approves over 1,200 permits for Ramadan bazaar traders this year

SHAH ALAM, March 22 — Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has issued 1,279 permits for Ramadan bazaar traders this year.

Its Corporate and Public Relations Division said that the local authority had provided 31 locations and among them are in Sections 6, 7, 8, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27, 28, 31, 33, 35, U2, U3, U5, U8, U10, U13, U19 and U20.

“MBSA would like to remind the traders of the importance of strict compliance to the standard operating procedures (SOP) to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and practice cleanliness while doing business.

“The traders must also comply with health requirements such as wearing the proper attire (apron, hat and shoes) while conducting business,” said the local council in a statement.

According to MBSA, traders are only allowed to operate at the approved locations. The traders could also be penalised if the bazaar sites were left dirty and untidy.

Yesterday, Shah Alam deputy mayor Mohd Rashidi Ruslan had handed over the permits to the Ramadan bazaar traders.
