PAPAR: The dismembered body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found lying next to the railway track near Jalan Takis, here, Sunday.
According to a seven-second video that has gone viral on social media, the body with helmet still on was found next to the track in front of a school.
The police were seen investigating at the scene while passersby were watching from a distance.
It is believed that the victim had attempted to cross the railway track when a train was travelling towards Kota Kinabalu from Beaufort.
District Police Chief DSP Batholomew confirmed that the incident.
“However, we have yet to find out the cause of the incident as investigations are ongoing,” he told Daily Express.
