Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has paid tribute to Ilkay Gundogan ahead of Sunday' FA Cup quarter-final with Southampton.
He says the German midfielder is a role model for youngsters and is the 'perfect player' for Manchester City.
“Young players should take a look (at Ilkay), especially because he is so intelligent, in his life and personal life," said Pep.
“He's a guy who can talk about may things, have clear visions about many, many things.
“I've said many times: I know he hasn't played as much recently but he's always so stable and we can count on him in any circumstances.
“It was an incredible decision to bring him here, unfortunately had ACL took longer to adapt than we expected, but he's the perfect player for us."
