The American teen has previously trained with United's academy and is now hoping to impress BVB coaches.
Fletcher, 17, from Bethesda-Olney SC suddenly appeared as a trial player for BVB U19s in a friendly against SC Paderborn (4:2) on Friday – and even scored a goal, reports Ruhr Nachrichten.
Fletcher cannot sign for a European team until he turns 18 on January 1, 2023.
United, meanwhile, remain in contact with the youngster's agents.
