Local businessman Jose Elias has left Barcelona.

The founder of the renewable energy company Audax Renovables had been one of the main guarantors of Joan Laporta and his board of directors, together with his partner Eduard Romeu, who continues as economic vice-president of the club.

Elias admitted to Cadena SER that he has doubts about moving for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

He said, "Haaland reminds me so much of Ibra… Barça has never been good at going wallet first.

"We are specialists in extracting gold from the mine. I look to Pedri and he's the bomb. Haaland can have a huge impact but if you put it to me, sign Haaland or someone from the youth team comes through, I prefer that."
