Former Manchester United assistant Carlos Quieroz has left his post as Egypt manager after failing to qualify for the World Cup 2022.
The Pharaohs lost on penalties to Senegal on Tuesday, the same result which saw them lose in the African Cup of Nations final in February.
"Dream is Over. From the bottom of my heart, my gratitude to Egypt Federation for this honour of coaching the National Team," Queiroz posted on Twitter.
"To all my players and my staff, my recognition and humble thank you so much," he added. "You will always be in my heart.
"It was my privilege to work and be helped by such dedicated and capable professionals and wonderful friends."
