Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has been 'sounded out' by intermediaries over becoming the next manager of Manchester United.
There is yet to be any official contact between United and the Dutchman.
However, ten Hag has expressed his immense desire to speak with the Premier League giants should they make a formal offer, per Sky Sports.
United and Ajax have a good relationship as former Red Devils goalkeeper Edwin van de Sar is the chief executive of the Eredivisie club.
Ten Hag's current contract expires at the end of next season.
Ralf Rangick has been interim manager of United since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November.
PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has also been linked with the Red Devils.
