Hazard is a partnership which simply can't catch a break, and the Belgian will be absent for another month due to further fibula surgery.
Having missed much of his Real Madrid career through injury, Hazard has lost his way completely in the Spanish capital and can't seem to stay fit.
Real Madrid confirmed the need for fresh surgery on Friday morning, with an issue surrounding the metal plates already in Hazard's leg being the cause.
"Our player Eden Hazard will undergo surgery in the coming days to remove the osteosynthesis plate on his right fibula," a club statement read.
