Cambridge manager Mark Bonner says the return of Brighton loanee Jensen Weir is unlikely.

Bonner said Weir is unlikely to return to the club this season because of a knee injury.

Speaking ahead of their fixture against AFC Wimbledon, Bonner said Weir and Greg Taylor will both miss the match.

Cambridge currently sit 12 points above Wimbledon in 17th place and will be looking for a first win in six outings.

Weir is the son of Albion academy pathway manager David Weir.
