Kota Kinabalu: Sabahans and other Malaysians, including foreign travellers who have recovered from Covid-19 within 90 days, are only required to undergo Antigen Rapid Test (ART) upon arrival in Brunei Darussalam from Friday (April 1).

The ART screening on arrival in the Sultanate, costs BND20 per person,” Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said.

He said the measure means travellers are now exempt from providing a negative RT-PCR test and undergoing mandatory self-isolation, provided they have proof of recovery from Covid-19 the past 90 days.

Among the valid documents required is a recovery certificate showing they (travellers) have been infected and recovered from the virus in the past three months.

Dato Seri Setia said 792 new cases were reported Sunday , bringing the tally to 131,403 since the start of the pandemic in 2020.

As of March 26, 60.8 per cent of the population had received three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, Dato Seri Setia added.
