Southampton are into the FA Cup quarter-finals following a 3-1 win over West Ham United at St. Mary's.

In an exciting contest on the south coast, Saints took the lead after 30 minutes thanks to a long-range thunderbolt from left-back Roman Perraud.

The Frenchman harboured no fear as he unleashed a 30-yard bomb into the top corner.

West Ham levelled after 60 minutes thanks to a tap-in from Michail Antonio.

James Ward-Prowse restored Southampton's lead shortly after when he converted from the penalty spot following Craig Dawson's foul on Armando Broja.

Chelsea loanee Broja then sealed the result with an excellent goal deep into stoppage time.

The result has Southampton fans dreaming of a run to the FA Cup final.

The south-coast club's only major trophy came in the 1976 edition of England's famous knockout competition.
