Kota Kinabalu: BN secured a simple majority with 29 seats to win the Johor state election, according to the Election Commission.
EC Chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh, in a statement, said BN secured a majority of over 50 percent of the 56 contested seats.
All votes were tallied up by 11.05pm, he said, adding the election went smoothly.
