Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists new contract talks for Gavi and Ronald Araujo are on track.
Both players are out of contract in 2023 and talks are underway to extend their deals at Camp Nou.
"There's a football and financial criteria involved to play for Barça's first team once again," Laporta said.
The president added that he's grateful to other players, like Ansu Fati and Pedri, who have already renewed because "they understand what Barça is, they appreciate being here... the first thing we look at is if they want to continue. If Gavi and Araujo want to continue here, they will.
"They will have a career, but they will also know that they will be recognised and valued professionally... they will have a good contract is what I want to say. We hope we can reach a satisfactory agreement. Barça comes first."
