Former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has strongly condemned the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin who has resorted to war in order to resolve their conflict with Ukraine.
He stressed that the Malaysian government cannot be supporting those who would utilize war and aggression as a justification to resolve conflicts between two opposing countries.
"Today we have witnessed that Russia has used war to capture and solve problems, we cannot support those who use war as a weapon to a solution," he added. "Any dispute or rivalry between two governments should be resolved through negotiations, courts of law... that is the best way, not war. Russia seems to be doing the opposite when it comes to using the military to resolve their dispute with Ukraine."
As the whole world has already observed, Russia has recently launched a full-scale military mission on February 24th with multi-directional attacks in their extensive attempt to overthrow the Ukrainian government and establish a new regime.

In relation to the Ukraine-Russia issue, Malaysia is expected to support a draft resolution condemning Russia's aggression on Ukraine at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) tomorrow.
