Manchester United ace Paul Pogba says team spirit was key to victory over Tottenham.
Pogba believes that United's spirit proved the difference as the Reds overcame top-four rivals Tottenham and achieved a huge 3-2 win at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
Speaking to MUTV, the French midfielder said: “[It was] a team reaction, a team performance.
“Today we did the basics, we fought for each other."
He added: “We were compact against a very good team, and we got the result that we wanted."
Pogba also believes that the victory over Spurs will provide a boost for the Reds going into Tuesday's Champions League round-of-16 second leg against Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford.
He said: “It's good. Mentally it is very good.
“It was good for us to get this win just to get ready for the Champions League [match] because the Champions League one is going to be hard also.
"We have to be ready for this one and we have to win again.
“[The fans] are going to be there and I am sure they are going to push us like they always do. We want to make them happy."
