GRS-BN component parties to negotiate seats ahead of GE15: Bersatu

KOTA KINABALU – Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-Barisan Nasional (GRS-BN) component parties will be negotiating seats ahead of the general election.

Sabah Bersatu election strategy director Datuk Japlin Akim said all the parties will be fighting for more seats but leaders will have to hold negotiations.

“When the time comes, leaders of all the component parties in GRS and BN will negotiate to determine which party (gets which seat) based on the capability of the party to win the seat,” he said in a statement today.

Japlin, who is also Kota Belud Bersatu chief, said collaboration among the parties is a must to create a stable front to face the opposition.

“If there must be a clash, I am confident that our chief (Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor) will make a wise decision and arrange the necessary strategy.”

GRS was officially registered as a political coalition that comprises Bersatu, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku, Sabah Progressive Party, and Parti Bersatu Sabah on March 11.

The BN component parties are Umno, MCA, MIC and United Sabah People’s Party. – The Vibes, March 31, 2022
